Capricious Little Daisys
Capricious and absurd
a little bit of that would be a deadly guise for
life
and as she lifts it to her lips we all cry out
upset at how foolish she was
Capricious and absurd
that would be the words to describe it
intolerably odd the way they come
and absorb
its abhorred
the daisys
Enticingly object
to natures laws and they give it no respect
at all to come and destroy
all that nature made in love
as we follow blindly down their splintered growth
They’re capricious little daisys
They come to kill and devour your very soul
with no control they kiss you on the lips
and sip away your self
They grow everywhere
they choke away the weeds and scare away the birds
The daisys are capricious and absurd
They know it as I watch them strangle a dove
I knew
We all saw them watching her
we tried and warn but it is too late
her bit of life is destroyed in the rain
and the daisys thrive in the drink
the mud
the dying flowers
