Quiet times to continue through the weekend. That is the theme for this forecast in general. A gorgeous day is on tap for the Delaware Valley on Thursday with mostly sunny skies and highs in the mid to upper 40s. What nicer conditions could we ask for in mid January? Thursday will be the nicest day of the winter thus far. We all know this thaw-like pattern won't hold on very long this time of the year, so don't let it slip on by. Get outside and enjoy it!
A backdoor cold front will be pressing through the region late Thursday night with lows around 30.
Friday will be partly cloudy as a system well to the south slips off the Southeast Coast. Temperatures will be slightly cooler than on Thursday, yet still enjoyable given the time of year. Highs around 40. Saturday will start off partly cloudy, but skies should clear out by the afternoon. Highs in the lower 40s. Clouds will be on the increase Sunday as a storm system in the plains approaches. Highs will once again get into the mid to upper 40s. Rain will arrive late Sunday night and continue into Monday. Highs Monday in the low to mid 40s. The storm system will pull off to our North and West later on Monday leaving things to clear out by Tuesday, but it will be cooler. Highs Tuesday in the mid to upper 30s.
So, conditions will be pleasant the next few days with highs above average, except for Friday thanks to a backdoor cold front. Thursday looks to be the winner, so get outside and enjoy it. The pattern shows a return to colder and stormier weather by middle to late next week. Take care.
