No sooner do I put out a prediction, then the overall weather picture changes. About that accumulating snow that I thought would occur between Sunday and Wednesday for the Delaware Valley . . . forget about it. One factor is that the disturbance is being pushed to the south thanks to an area of high pressure (the same high pressure responsible for bringing us bone numbing cold this morning and tonight). The other factor sort of ties in with the first. The high pressure is so strong and dry that and moisture trying to move eastward into it is being evaporated. Therefore, believe it or not, the best chance of wintry precip will be areas near Charlotte, North Carolina. We will be hard pressed to even see a flurry from this system. We will however continue to see very cold temperatures with the high today struggling to get above 20F. Next threat of wintry precipitation looks to be later in the week around Thursday. Don't hold your breath with this system either. Sorry for the short discussion, but the flu has it's hold on me. I must be going. Check back for any updates.
