Not a whole heck of alot to add to the forecast we posted last night. Snow will begin over the next several hours and will become heavy for a period Friday morning during the rush hour (7-10AM). There will be some extreme upper level dynamics at work so I would not rule out the possibility of 1-2" per hour snowfall rates for a period and a few claps of thunder and lightning as all the energy passes overhead. Snow will move out rather quickly by midday on Friday. Total accumulation for Delco averaging 3-6" with a few isolated 7" totals. Sleet, but more importantly, ice, should stay South and East of the city.
So, heavy snow for a period during the morning rush. Expect 3-6" of snow in Delco with a few 7" total possible. Mix stays South and East of the city. All in all, a good storm, but again as has been the case thus far, a very quick mover. There is nothing that would cause this system to stall out or slow down very much. Drive safe and leave early if you need to go out in the AM. Driving conditions will be an absolute nightmare as the brunt of the storm will be occurring during the AM rush hour. Take care!
