Chilly weather continues to keep it's grip on the Delaware Valley, but temps are slowly beginning to rebound. It will be a nice today today with plenty of sunshine and a high near 40. Tomorrow will feature increasing cloudiness with highs in the lower 40's. A period of light rain will be moving through the area late Sunday night into Monday morning and temps should remain near 40 and rise slightly throughout the night. There will be a break in the action Monday but skies will remain mostly cloudy. Temps should approach 50 degrees as a storm system passes to our north and west bringing in milder air to the region. Our area will see rain and showers Monday night and Tuesday as the system passes through. Things will cool off once again for Wednesday with highs in the low to mid 40's. Thereafter, things get a bit iffy at the moment. A storm system will be approaching our area from the southern Plains. Too early to say for sure, but looks like the setup will be there for a CAD event (Cold Air Damming) over parts of the Ohio Valley and portions of the interior Northeast. For those not aware of what a CAD event involves, it usually spells trouble for those areas that lie directly in the path as cold air at the surface hangs tough as warm moist air overrides the cold layer. That usually spells a mess in the form of ice. Not saying this will happen here, but something to keep in the back of your minds. Regardless, enjoy the milder weather early next week . . . it wont last long and the pattern looks to become quite active by later in the week. Take care.
