Our area finally returned to seasonable
temperature readings today and should remain there through the weekend.
By Sunday, an area of ridging in the Southeast looks to take over again
for at least a few more days. Temperatures could get above normal again
during the beginning of next week. Now, the real uncertainty comes during
the middle of next week. This morning's MRF run, as well as at least one
of the ensemble members are showing a possible phasing of the jet streams
by Wednesday. Along with an area of deep strominess in the Gulf of Mexico,
these models are showing this area and a disturbance dropping down
out of Canada merging into one rather impressive system just off the
Delaware Coast. If this storm were to form, right now we would be in the
warm sector with heavy rain and high winds as a result. Those along
the Appalachians and further North don't appear as fortunate. Again,
this is preliminary and only a few of the models have hinted at this, but
it does warrant mentioning as the storm approached 976 mb by Wednesday night.
Just something to keep in the back of your head as next week approaches.
This forecast can and will change as we get nearer, so no need to panic.
Just check back.
