Just a quick synopsis of the weather for Sunday as this will NOT be a major storm by any stretch of the imagination. While TV and media outlets continue to hype this storm, some folks really look out for the oublic and like to tell them the true weather and try not to cause alarm and panic. Here goes . . .

Light snow begins just before daybreak on Sunday for Delaware County. Snow will continue for a couple of hours perhaps accumulating and inch or two. Snow will begin to mix with and change to sleet around mi-morning for South to North. Sleet will continue for a couple of hours but will change to plain rain for the majority of the storm. Roads will be slick, but not impassible. With dense, cold air already settled in, the freezing temperatures at the ground surface will make things icy, but again, not undriveable. The majority of the storm will be plain, heavy rain which will wash away any wintry mix that we receive. Rain will end by nightfall.

So, another media-hyped storm system for Sunday. Light snow turning to sleet then to plain rain with most of the precip falling as just rain. Minor snow accumulations very early on Sunday with rain washing everything away by Sunday PM. Take care and drive safely, roads will still be a little slick for a couple of hours on Sunday.
