Well, the computer models are trying to come together on some of the
key shortwave features over the next few days, but still haven't copletely
done that. As mentioned last week, there was the chance for some unsettled
weather here in the east during the second part of this week. This holds
true, but the idea of a large coastal system, screaming up the Eastern
Seaboard as one model hinted at, seems far-fetched at this time. At this time,
there is an area of low pressure redeveloping just off of the Geaorgia/South
Carolina coasts. This should keep some coastal areas in the southeast fairly
raw over the next day. This low if forecast to move NE to a point just south
of Cape Hatteras and then turn more ENE by sometime tomorrow afternoon/evening.
On Thursday, we should be under variably cloudy skies as a fairly strong
Alberta Clipper passes to our north at night and on into Friday. We may even
see a snow flurry or two, but it doesn't look like a big deal. Models are
still up in the air about what will happen over the weekend. Looks like
it will remain cool this weekend, but not bitterly cold, yet.
