Just a quick update for now. There will be a bigger update around 3AM. The latest guidance tracks our noreaster slightly farther east, hence, lowering our totals somewhat. Now, based on current observations and data, the low is actually much farther North and East than what guidance had shown. Simply stated, if you were hoping for a huge snowstorm in Philadelphia, things are not looking too good at this point. Still some time for things to right themselves, but the trend is clear . . . farther east and weaker. We shall see over the next couple of hours what this storm is up to. More details later. Check back between 3 and 4AM.

Well, it is obvious that our storm is farther North and East as expected based on current observations. Snow is just to our east and it is snowing heavily over parts of New Jersey. Snow *should* become heavy during the day Saturday. Winds will also be a problem. Gusty out of the northeast. Total accumulations downgraded to 4-7 inches (may have to go even lighter as a dry slot aloft may work in). Snow will taper to flurries later Saturday night. Not much else to talk about. Will discuss tomorrow what caused this sudden shift to the east and why the models did not see it. Very interesting story behind that. Take care.
