Thursday panned out as expected. Variably cloudy skies dominated the area with widely scattered flurries and a quick snow shower around 9PM in our area. Things will clear up overnight with lows ranging from 20-25. Friday will be mostly sunny with the highs around 40. Clouds will increase late Friday into Friday night with the low around 30. Saturday will be mostly cloudy with a chance of snow showers or a brief period of light snow. Little or no accumulation is expected at this time with highs in the upper 30s to near 40. Sunday will be mostly sunny with highs in the upper 30s. Monday will feature increasing cloudiness as a storm aprroaches from the Plains. Highs around 40. This system will be loaded with energy and dynamics and will likely contain a severe weather aspect to it. Looking as though areas such as Arkansas and Indiana will be 'under the gun' for severe weather at this time. As the system approaches Tuesday, it will bring with it rain, and perhaps a rumble or two of thunder. Highs Tuesday in the mid 40s. The system will redevelop off the East Coast sometime Tuesday, but looks like our area escapes without any wintry weather. Places in upstate New York into New England could be a different story. More later.

So, a nice day on tap for Friday, then flurries or snow showers possible on Saturday. Not a big deal at this time, and should not pose any problems. The main action (if you really want to call an inch or two of snow 'action') will be farther North into Northen PA, SE NY, and SE New England. Sunday and Monday will be fair with increasing clouds Monday as our next weather maker approaches. Rain will be the story for Tuesday. Could be a fair amount or rain with even a few rumbles of thunder. No wintry weather expected with this system at this time. Take care.
