Friday's Clipper system gave most of Delaware County around an inch of snowfall and a nice fresh look to the current snowpack. All in all, it was not a big deal. The storm behaved as expected and accumulations fell within the range posted here Thursday night and Friday.

The remainder of the day will be partly cloudy with the high around 37. Sunday will be partly cloudy with the chance for a flurry late in the day. High in the upper 30s. Clouds will thicken Sunday evening and throughout the night as our next Clipper approaches the area.

Monday will be cloudy with the chance for more snow. Guidance is showing a Clipper system headed east towards our area while another area of low pressure emerges from the Gulf States. The idea of a positively tilted trough with no phasing between systems is no longer as pronounced as it appeared 36 hours ago. As energy digs into the backside of the trough associated with the Clipper, it will help to sharpen the trough allowing low pressure from the Gulf to track NNE. At this point, precip looks a bit heavier than what we saw with the system yesterday, but wont get too specific about totals, if any, until midday Sunday. If the system gets too close to the coast, it will push the rain/snow line to our west. As it stands now, that line will run roughly from SBY/MIV/NYC. Highs on Monday around 35.

Things will clear out on Tuesday and yield partly cloudy skies with a high in the mid 30s. Wednesday and Thursday look mostly sunny with highs ranging from the upper 30's to lower 40s.

So, Sunday's weather looks seasonable for the Eagles-Giants game up in North Jersey. Skies will be partly cloudy with a high in the mid to upper 30s. Chance of snow on Monday. If the system behaves as currently progged, snowfall totals could be higher than we saw on Friday. This system needs to be monitored. Any shift west would bring our area precariously close to the rain/snow line while a shift east could mean little or nothing in the way of snowfall. Right now however, looks like a good bet that we see some accumulating snow throughout the day Monday. More tonight or midday Sunday.
