The Delaware Valley enjoyed a fine day of February weather on Tuesday as skies were mostly sunny with the high officialy of 62º. Skies will cloud up tomorrow and expect shower to develop around midday. High in the low to mid 50's. Steadier rain should develop tomorrow night, perhaps with a period of heavier rain Thursday morning. Any rain should move out by midday on Thursday and may end briefly as a period of wet snow as temps drop during the afternoon. Thereafter, this forecast becomes tricky. Clouds will increase once again during the day on Friday as a storm system moves in from the south. High on Friday in the mid 40's. Any precip should hold off until late Friday night. I want to keep this really short due to the lack of consistency between the computer models. Some want to dive a piece of energy farther south and develop more of a coastal storm, on other models, the energy never really catches up with the trough. So, is there going to be a storm this weekend? Yes. Will we see any snow out of this system? Possibly, but too premature to tell. Could this storm stay to the south and get booted out to sea? Certainly could. Nothing is out of the question right now, but I am leaning towards more of a rainy scenario in our area (Delaware County). Better idea on this in the morning. Maybe another system coming in fast on the heels of the weekend storm as well. Very active pattern setting up!
