Just a quick update on the current storm. Preipitation has broken out around midnight here and is falling as a mix of sleet and freezing rain with the temperature around freezing. Things should pick up in intensity as the night progresses and with dynamic cooling getting involved, would expect a changeover to snow. This is a very close call in regards to the movement of the rain/snow line. Still hedging towards a mainly frozen episode, but not sure how big a role an inversion at 900mb will play. Still expecting some accumulating snow on Monday with some areas not to far to the North and West picking up close to 10 inches of snow. Thinking is rain/mix/snow line will tinker back and forth near the I-95 corridor throughout the day. Total accumulations from 1-3 inches at this time. Precip will taper to snow showers in the afternoon and evening. Next update late Tuesday as will be out of town for the next 36 hours. Take care.
