Quick late update as I have just gotten home from sitting in bumper to bumper snow-related traffic for two hours (normally a 10 minute ride). Yesterday, there was really only one model (ETA) which was really gung ho with significant snowfall for the area. Well, at this time, it looks like the ETA's idea was not far off from reality. We have two inches of snow on the ground already in parts of Delaware County and it has only been snowing for about 3.5 hours. Needless to say, I am upping my totals for this system to the tune of 4-8" for our area. Yes, this storm seems to be catching many, including myself, off guard slightly. Most outlets were being rather conservative, but with the WAA snows coming in much earlier and heavier than anticipated, I had no choice but to push those snowfall totals up significantly.

Snow will continue overnight, even become moderate to perhaps heavy towards daybreak. Take it from me, do NOT go out onto the roadways unless it is absolutely necessary. It is an absolute nightmare out there. Anyway, the low tonight will be in the mid and upper 20s. Snow tapers to snow showers midday Friday with the high in the lower 30s. Again, total accumulations for our area ranging from 4-8" with higher amounts (up to a foot?) South and East of the city and into Southern New Jersey and parts of Delaware. Time permitting, perhaps another update before I leave for work on Friday if things look like they warrant a major change. Take care!
