The purpose of this web page is to provide detailed and accurate weather forecasts for Philadelphia and it's close Northern and Western suburbs in lieu of winter weather. Steve's Northeast US Winter Weather (SNUWW) began in 1997 as a starting point for winter weather buffs who could stop by to check the radar or link to their favorite weather sites. SNUWW has continued to expand and in November 1998, detailed forecast discussions for the region began to be issued. One can find all past discussions in the discussion archive. These discussions combine general knowledge, trends past and present, and computer models' interpretations of atmospheric conditions to arrive at a solid forecast. The model links section is a valuable tool for any meteorologist or amateur for finding alternate model sites when their favorite site is down or is late updating. The weather links section is also a good starting point for gathering specific data and jumping to other weather servers. Updates to SNUWW are made in advance of winter weather to the Philadelphia area and Northeast. Please show your support by either stopping back, telling a friend, or signing the guestbook near the bottom of the page. Overall, the main hope for SNUWW is that visitors leave with something from these pages. If it means making one single person aware of an approaching winter storm, then mission accomplished. Please enjoy your visit.
