Hi! Welcome to Alyssa's patch!
When this site was first developed,
I used it as Alyssa's own sounding board.
Over the past few years, I had
become very relaxed in putting things
on this page.
Alyssa's tastes changed almost daily
and I found that keeping up her site
was nearly impossible.
Hence, I decided to start my
own journal to Alyssa.
Since I love to write,
this should be very easy to do!
It is amazing to me how much time can
pass when watching your kids grow up.
It is hard to believe that 12 years
have passed since Alyssa came into my life.
At 17, I knew I had a responsibility
to this little life.
At 17, I was totally unaware of
how much my life would truly change.
And change it did.
From the moment Alyssa entered the world,
my life was not the same.
From that cold, foggy November
afternoon until now,
I couldn't ask for a better change
to have happened to me.
Alyssa is my life.
She is my everything.
It is hard to believe that one child
can do that to a person.
My aspirations, my goals,
my life.....it is all for her.
She is my rock,
my reason,
my rhyme in life.
Alyssa is currently a
6th grade student (straight A's might I add)
who is a very talented writer.
Like me, she has many goals
set for herself.
She wants nothing more than to
go to Med School to
become an OB-GYN.
I know that whatever that
girl puts her mind to doing,
she will do it.
She is strong, she is wonderful,
she is my daughter.
You are all I need,
my love, my Valetine.
Forever in my heart you will always be.
No matter where your life takes you,
what paths you may walk down,
you will never be far from me.
Even if the sun refused to shine,
you are all I need, my love,
my Valentine.
