Indoor Percussion

2001

 

The 2001 Blackhawk HS Indoor Marching Percussion Line is performing music from the Show Title - Pat Metheny Sketches - A Portrait in Black and White with the songs, "Language of Time," "Roots of Coindence," "Letter from Home," and "Heat of the Day."

The Percussion Line is directed by Robert Barthen. The instructors are Kevin Stahl, Alan Fear, and Dave Campbell.  The music is arranged by John Taylor and Dave Campbell with drill design by Kevin Stahl.  The equipment trailer is staffed by Mr. John Bradley.

The Blackhawk HS Indoor Marching Percussion competes in the Tournament of Bands (TOB) Chapter 8 circuit in the Scholastic "Open" classification.

Recent awards and Honors:

2000 - Scholastic Open Percussion - 1st place at the Tournament of Bands, Chapter 8 Indoor Championships; 2nd Place at the Carrick show & 1st Place at the Brentwood, Clairton, and Avella shows; Scholastic A Percussion - 1st Place at the Elizabeth-Forward show

1999 - Scholastic A Percussion - 2nd Place TOB Chapter 8 Championships

1998 - 1st Place-Scholastic A Percussion - TOB Chapter 8 Championships
