Indoor Percussion 2002
The 2002 Blackhawk HS Indoor Marching Percussion Line is performing music by the group, 'The Police' and 'Sting'. Titled - Syncronicity - Portraits in Color with the songs, "Syncronicity II," "Fragile," and "Syncronicity I." The Percussion Line is directed by Robert Barthen. The instructors are Alan Fear, Phil Webster, and Dave Campbell. The music is arranged by Dave Campbell. The drill was also designed by Dave Campbell. (Latest Update on May 6, 2002)
The Blackhawk HS Indoor Marching Percussion competes in the Tournament of Bands (TOB) Chapter 8 circuit in the Scholastic "A" classification. Recent awards and Honors: 2001 - Scholastic Open Percussion - 1st place at the Tournament of Bands, Chapter 8 Indoor Championships; 2nd Place at the Carrick show & 1st Place at the Brentwood, Clairton, and Avella shows; Scholastic A Percussion - 1st Place at the Elizabeth-Forward show2000 - Scholastic Open Percussion - 1st place at the Tournament of Bands, Chapter 8 Indoor Championships; 2nd Place at the Carrick show & 1st Place at the Brentwood, Clairton, and Avella shows; Scholastic A Percussion - 1st Place at the Elizabeth-Forward show 1999 - Scholastic A Percussion - 2nd Place TOB Chapter 8 Championships 1998 - 1st Place-Scholastic A Percussion - TOB Chapter 8 Championships
