Winter Color Guard 2003
The Blackhawk HS Winter Color Guard is an outgrowth of the marching band auxiliary groups. This year's show is set to a song by Paul Winters - "Applachian Spring." The Director is Linda Barthen. The drill design is by Dave Campbell and the equipment work is designed by Jennifer Barthen. The instructors for the group is Jennifer Barthen and Jennifer .

Recent Awards and Honors The Blackhawk HS Winter Color Guard competes in the Tournament of Bands (TOB) Chapter 8 circuit in the Scholastic "A" classification. 2001 - Scholastic A Color Guard: 2nd place at the Tournament of Bands Chapter 8 Indoor Championships, 1st place at the Royal Crusader's show (Sto-Rox HS), Avonworth HS, Carrick HS, Thomas Jefferson HS, & Brentwood HS shows, 2nd place at the Slippery Rock University show 2000 - Scholastic A Color Guard: 3rd place at the Tournament of Bands Chapter 8 Indoor Championships; 1st Place at the Brentwood show; 2nd Place at the Elizabeth-Forward & Clairton shows, 3rd place at the Avella show, & 4th place at the Carrick show 1999 - Scholastic A Color Guard - 3rd Place - TOB Chapter 8 Championships
