November 28 - WPIAL Championships in Three Rivers Stadium - Blackhawk Band will perform the finale of their award-winning competition show! Game starts at 4 PM and is televised live on FOX TV.

November 17 - Honors Band tryouts at Westminster College - Students selected to the band were: Anthony Latagliata-alto sax, Justin Reid-trumpet, Andrea Taylor-French Horn, Ben Jones-baritone, and Anthony Cananzi-percussion.

November 16-December 1 - Annual Fall Nut Sale runs - contact a band member for order forms or call the band office.

November 12-14 - BOA Grand Nationals at Indianapolis, IN - Blackhawk received a Division II rating with a score of 66.95 - the highest score Blackhawk has received at a BOA event. BHS finished 67th out of the 81 bands participating. What a chance-of-a-lifetime for the students - to perform in the RCA Dome as well as to witness some of the finest high school marching bands in the country. This, coupled with the Finale on Saturday evening were great. Who could imagine fireworks in a dome??!!

November 7 - TOB Chapter 8 Championships at Trinity HS - 7th place finish with a score of 86.3 - BLACKHAWK AGAIN QUALIFIES FOR THE ACC'S FOR THE FOURTH YEAR IN A ROW COMPETING IN GROUP 4, but we must regrettfully decline the invitation because we are competing at BOA Grand Nationals!!!

Patron Ads for the Band Festival program are due ASAP. This includes Green & Gold Ads as well as student ads. Return all monies and ads to the band mailbox ASAP!

The band is selling Power Saver Discount Cards. These cards are good at area businesses with a discount offered by each business. Cost is $6 per card. Contact the Band Office for additional cards or more information.

June 29-Color Guard starts at 8:30 AM at Highland Middle School

June 10-The Band is going to Cedar Point. Remember, the bus will leave at 7 AM. We will return by approx. 12 Midnight.

May 26-Spring Band Concert was held in the High School auditorium. The Eighth Grade Jazz Band and Concert Band, the Senior High Jazz Band, Wind Ensemble, and Indoor Percussion Line performed. Jessica Balik, All-State Band member, performed the Chaminade flute solo, "Concertino." See the Symphonic Page for more information.

May 25-Memorial Day Parade in Beaver Falls -Eighth Grade Band students were included in the parade for their first marching experience with the High School Band.

May 9-Band Banquet was held at the Beaver Falls Holiday Inn. There were 270 guests in attendance.
