Costume, Equipment etc.-Blue(later red) body suit.
Background- The Human Torch was an android created by Phineas Horton, a scientist. In the orignial version, the Torch murders Horton for trying to exploit him, but latter on, it was retconned, and Horton became the Torch's "father figure". The Torch's major enemy during this time was Namor the Sub-Mariner. Their battles are legendary in the annals of comicdom. Although disappearing after the Golden Age, The Torch resurfaced years later as both the Vision in Avengers(retconned out) as well as Jim Hammond, the owner of the Heroes for Hire. He is also currently appearing in Roger Stern's new book, Marvel Universe.
