Professor Jordan shows his young friend Tim a vial of a "wonder drug" he is working on. As he debates how to best test the drug, he accidentally breaks the vial, and is trapped in an explosion. Dazed by fumes released by the blast, Jordan is rescued by Tim. Realising that the accident had multiplied their strength a dozen times, the scientist and his friend decide to use their abilities to fight crime. Tim also wears a costume, its colors the reverse of his mentor.
