Somewhere, over the rainbow,
skies are blue.
And the dreams that you dare to dream,
really do come true.
Someday, I'll wish , upon a star...
and wake up where the clouds are far,
behind me...
Where troubles melt like lemon drops...
Away above the chimney tops...
that's where, you'll find me.....
Somewhere, over the rainbow,
bluebirds fly...
Birds fly, over the rainbow...
why, then...oh why...can't I?
If all those little bluebirds fly...
beyond the rainbow.....
Why...oh why...can't I.....?
RAINBOW
I saw a rainbow the other day
Which looked how a poem should sound
A glorious arch right through the air, and
On each side it touched the ground.
And right above it, which from my view
Seemed just a few feet at most
I saw an echo of that rainbow,
As transparent as a ghost.
While falling from the first colored band,
Like its life's blood pouring down
I saw a brushstroke colored yellow
Reaching downward to the ground.
