Welcome to Downtown Chapelsnap
'Downtown', the heart of Chapelsnap, is considered by
tourists to be the corner of Fourth and Yielding. Well, that's why
they're tourists. We Chapelsnappers know that the real downtown is at the
Dead End at 3rd and Plump. That's where all the politicians, drug
addicts, businessmen, klan members, and college professors put aside their
differences and unwind at the end of the day.
Chapelsnap operates
under the 'Good Times' law it enacted in 1923, which states that no
criminal can be arrested after business hours. It also mandates that
criminals are to forgo any criminal activity. Violation of the 'good
times' law demands swift justice (the next business day, or in the case
of a Friday, the following Monday.)
The 'Good Times' law, despite local legend, has nothing to do with the
television series of the same name. Regardless, the show was a hit among
many Snappers. Martin Iambic has claimed Willona carried him through many
a lonely night.
