For a fantastic view of Arica and the Pacific Ocean there is no better place to go than to El Morro. From this high bluff, the Chileans won one of their most decisive battles of the War of the Pacific (1879-1883). |

There are good places for swimming south of Arica. Some areas are very rocky and some places the current is too strong. There is also a possibility for surfing. |
