A little background information on my Jeep. I have a '95 Cherokee Sport with 30"x9.5" BFG A/T's.

I ordered my nerf bars in July of 1998 from Performance Products. I took about a week and a half for them to get to my house. I put them on the following weekend. The bars come complete with all the hardware you will need and a full set of instructions. All you need to use is a good electric drill (cordless are too weak), a set of socket wrenches, and an open end wrench. The proper sizes are listed in the instructions. This is possibly a one person job, but a second person is helpfull in some spots.

You're ready to begin.

You have to hold the bar up against its mount points, rear leaf spring bracket and the frame rail. Mark the holes with a marker or something similar. Drill the holes. Before drilling completly through the metal check to make sure you holes still line up with those on the bars. I found this out the hard way. All of my holes lined up except one, now it is oblong instead of round. Once you get the proper holes drilled hold the bar against the mount points and bolt it up. After all six bolts (I think there are six)are tightened, torque them to the manufacturer's specs. Move to the other side and do the same thing.

Well I hope this will provide a little insight in to what it takes to put these on. I took me about five hours to do after trying two drills, and breaking a few drill bits. Oh yeah and the oblong hole. It should really only take about two and a half hours, tops. I hope to add some pictures of my Cherokee to show what the steps look like.
