Who is ?
Hello! My name is Bismuth, but all of my friends call me busy! So, well, you should call me that too!
Today work was hard. I've been busy switching back and forth from the fire detectors, alarm, and fuses that I could hardly make it home.
Well, I guess your probably wondering when and where I was discovered! A German scientist discovered me in 1450. For the life of me I can not remember his name, it was a long time ago! I am a member of group15, part of period 6, and I am a metal! You probably guessed it but I am pretty popular with all the ladies!
I can melt at 271.3 degrees Celsius, and I can boil at a whopping 1560 degrees Celsius. I am silver, matches everything that I have in my closet! And I have a density of 9.75 grams per centimeters 3.
The scientist that or actually who discovered me found me in the earth, I resembled a transition metal, but the scientist ran tests and decided, or actually discovered that I was a metal.
I am used in many hospitals to help with many disorders. Most doctors give me to their patients that are in pain with skin and stomachs. Helping to take away some of the pain that the disorder might bring to them. They also use me in other medicines.
All in all I think that my job as an element is one of the most important job that an element cam have! Without me around there would be a greater risk when it comes to fires. Less of chances to get a head start on putting out a fire, which in the long run could save thousands of lives. Last but not least, without me around you would not be able to turn on you lights; you would have to use candles like back in the olden days!
Thanks a lot for dropping by for a visit! Are you sure you don't want anything? Well then I'll let you get back to writing your paper! This has been a lot of fun. You should stop by again soon when you are not so busy. Have a safe trip home, stop over soon. BYE!!!!
