Who is Chrom-dawg ?

Once there was a dog, but not just any dog, Chrom-dawg. This dog was a super dog that wore a spiky chromium collar and just as his hero superman wore an S on his chest, Chrom-dawg wore a 24 proudly on his cape. However this dog was a mutt, a mix of Russian, Philippine, and South African. His family history is unimportant at this time because Chrom-dawg's super powers over shadowed his poor background. This dog's mission was to save the city of Rustville from total disintegration from acid rain.

Rustville is a small town on the outskirts of the Steel City (Pittsburgh for all you out of towners). This town was once beautiful in it's prime, but over the years of acid rain corroded the all metal architecture and automobiles. Chrom-dawg's mission, if he chose to accept it, was to inform the Rustvillians of the importance of chromium. The superdawg told these people that this hard, silvery metal is very resistant to corrosion. He told them to coat everything with chromium, - jet engines, and the grills of their cans and put it in paint to cover their buildings.

The citizen's rustle praised Chrom-dawg for his wisdom and did exactly what he said. To their awe, the town became rust free. To show their grrditude, the citizens of Rustville made a statue of Chrom-dawg in their main square, which was made of rubies, because chromium is the main element in rubies.
