Hi, I am looking to go nonprofit status, but would you believe the government want money? To do something that you truly want to do for no money at all? Crazy isn't it? So what I need is a spouncer, or raise the money this way, by asking you the people to help me. The JOEY Support Group is a parent support group not only on the Internet but also in my home town. Remember this is something I want to do for our children. Because our children are our future! I have been doing this for quite a number of years, and don't asked to reimbursed for the advice I give. To me if I could help you by offering advice I would ,and not think twice about it. But now I need your help, so will you help me to achieve nonprofit status? If you would like to help e-mail me and I'll give you the details. But if you can't thanks anyway.Let me introduce myself, my name is Roseanne , better know as Rosie. I live in Pittston, Pa. About six years ago when our son was diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, and a Learning disability. Information was hard to come by. Especially ODD ( Oppositional Defiant Disorder). My husband and I turned to the Internet, we knew we were not the only parents who's son was suffering from this disorder. The information was hard to come by especially on ODD. But I did find it at a web site called NORD, National Order of Rare Disorders. So with this information I started a web page called the JOEY Support Group. After all that is our son's name. He has a learning disability and to help him with his homework I had him come up with words that start his name, he came up with Just Open Everybody's, but the Y was the had one. So I made it easier for him I simply told him the Y can be used not as a starter letter but in a word. So his final answer was Just Open Everybody's eYes. So that is what JOEY stands for: Just Open Everybody's eYes to Oppositional Defiant Disorder and other disabilities. My parent support group on the Internet is growing everyday. But I found out something people around here needed help too. So I went to work and started a parent support group around here. I have been doing this mostly by myself and it is hard. I need help! I have the meeting place, I have the name, I have the computer with a printer that helps with the paper work, I also have a fax machine. But what I don't have is people attending, and people helping me to get things done. I know that you either work with special children or have one yourself, so you can relate to feeling alone and trying to change the world by yourself. It can't be done. Even though I put articles in the newspaper, and on TV but I get few responses. The people who do come don't return, which is normal they just came and got the info the needed. My biggest wish is to go Nonprofit, but that can't be done if I have no help! I have ideas on how to do it but I can't do it alone.belongs to Rosie Linko. . |
