Newkirk can crack a safe as well as one of his witty phrases, and is an expert at getting out of anything, especially when "Schultzie" is involved. His one complaint about Stallag 13 is that there's no ladies there. In fact, whenever there are, he and LeBeau usually are in competition for them. Newkirk is also sent out frequently to find escapees.
