The 173rd Airborne Brigade, (shown here in June 1966) was one of several units to gain a reputation for excellent service in the Vietnam War. Others included the Army's 1st Infantry Division and 1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile) and the 1st and 3rd Marine Divisions.
