| They tell me that Joshua Tree is only 150 miles
away, I have't checked. The quake was felt in Vegas and they said people
ran out into the streets there. Of course, they were awake and
dressed. Now, I want you to know that I heard the rumbling without my hearing aids -- so it was loud. Also, the vertical blinds were like jumping up and down - bouncing. Someone said that it only lasted 30 seconds but the landlord who has been in many in CA said it was more like 1.5 min. So, who knows. One of the tenants in the buiding next to us said they saw their car bouncing like whatever they call those cars that look like they need shocks -- you know, what the kids do with cars. The reports are that everyone was lucky that it was out in the desert. |
