"True Friends"

The bond that's shared between you and I,
Will never part us until we die.
And I believe that on that day,
I will not be able to say.
That the eternal knot which we both share,
Will unravel because one is not there.
The knot that binds ties tighter each day,
Drawing friends together in every way.
Although at times we are distant it seems,
In our hearts the glow of our friendship gleems.
So, don't ever doubt that a friendship's true,
As long as lies are not told and you're honest and true.
'Cause once that blackness seeps into our hearts,
The light will dwindle and become a spark.
So, I ask one thing, only one thing of you,
As friends we know we can be honest and true.
So, be that with me as each day ends,
You will notice that we are true friends.
