Well, last night was
awesome!!! I got to the show about 15 minutes before the doors were
supposed to open and the lines were pretty long. The line went very
quickly and the security asked to look in my bag, and they found my video
camera so I didn't get to record it like I was hoping. They didn't even
allow regular cameras! So, I finally got in and bought my T-shirt and Marvelous 3 poster (Eve 6 posters were already sold out) and went down to the floor and pushed my way so I was only behind 2 people from the barricade. Marvelous 3 came out and they kicked so much ass! Their energy was way better than Eve 6's (no offence). The band did some awesome tricks with their picks! Including throwing them in the air, having it bounce off his guitar, and catching and keep playing. During one song, the guitarist ran up to the Bass player and licked him on his face and then said that he tasted like salt. At the very end, the guitarist took a bottle of Hershey's chocolate syrup and drank it. I asked him after the show if he really drank it and he said that he meant not to but he squeezed the bottle way to hard so he got a mouthful. I went over and talked to the band and they signed my CD. Here is what I wrote down of their setlist (the quotes are lyrics from the song): Your So Yesterday Over Your Head Mrs. Jackson "___ in my eye" "Drive-by" Write it on Your Hand ??? Every Monday "Your Still the Same" Freak of the Week "There's always something there to remind me" "There's a lot I could say, There's a lot I could do" After a long intermission, Eve 6 hit the stage and kicked ass. After a couple of songs, Jon's equipment started fucking up and he was pissed! He started kicking his equipment and Max started telling the audience to scream, "Jon's equipment fucking sucks!". I think this was during Leech. Then they played the acoustic set with There's a Face and I Touch Myself. During Inside Out, Max called for someone to come on stage to help sing the rest of the song and he picked a guy and a girl, unfortunately I wasn't picked. After the song was over, the girl stage dived right on top of me and me and about 15 people around me fell to the ground due to the weight of the girl. I was also kicked in the head by a crowd surfer during Inside Out too. I talked to them for about 20 minutes until Eve 6 came out. Tony was definitely the coolest person to talk to. Max and Jon looked kind of stoned. They all signed my CD cover and I showed Tony the cover of the Peavey Monitor magazine that he is on and he went nuts! He was like, holy shit! I have to show Max this!. He didn't even know that he was in the Magazine! So after getting pictures with all of the guys of both bands, I'd say this was the best night of my life!!! |
