Bethany's Review : From Atlanta, GA on 2/12/99

The concert didn't start till 8 but I wanted to get there early to see if I could meet any of the bands. Well I couldn't because we got there around 730 and there was a long line to get in. I didn't even see the buses. So we wait maybe 20 min. or longer and finally someone checks out tickets and we get in. The opening band, Trinket, is already playing. So we go in and make our way towards the front. (Which wasn't hard because there wasn't that many people there yet even though the concert was sold out.) So me and my friends are in the front on the right side jamming to Trinket. We heard about 3 songs from them and then they went off. Next was Marvelous 3. They were sooo good. I love seeing them in concert. I was right in front of Jayce and he kept throwing picks out into the crowd. I was soo close to getting one but never did. I love how Butch and Jayce work the stage too. They walk and jump around.

Soon they went off and Eve 6 was next!!! I could hardly contain myself. (This was my first concert of them.) So while we are waiting for the stage people to set up their stuff, the girl next to me struck up a conversation. She told me that Max's side of the stage was right in front of us. I was so happy because Max is my favorite and I was getting excited cause I knew I had the best view. So everyone starts screaming and first Tony comes out then Max and Jon and they are not facing us. They do this weird thing (which was really cool) and then turn around and start playing Open Road Song. Lemme tell ya. I was jamming. I was singing along with them. Then they played Showerhead, Tongue Tied, Jesus Nitelite, Promise, and Leech. It was so cool cause they let the crowd sing the chorus for Leech. I love it when bands do that. Next after Leech Max started to ask the people in the front row some questions. If we got them wrong then he would spray us with silly string. The last question he sprayed himself. All the while, Tony and Jon were setting up to do an acoustic set. They did There's a Face, and Touch Myself. Max got all into the song Touch Myself because he ended up singing most of the song while laying on the floor. So after that they went back to their regular instruments and played How Much Longer, Saturday Night, Small Town Trap, and Inside Out. During Inside Out Max asked for two people to come up on stage and sing with them. No, he did not pick me. He picked 2 other people to come up and while he was huddled with them, the crowd was singing "I alone am the one you don't know you need take heed feed your ego…" And then would repeat it once it was done. Then they came back to the microphone and sang. After that song, Eve 6 went off stage and the lights went out. No one left and the whole crowd started chanting "EVE6 EVE6 EVE6!" Of course I was chanting along with them. They came back out and did Leavin' on a Jetplane, and ended with Superhero Girl. (Max asked us to jump up and down for that song.) After that they left for good!! Ahh! Then the stage people came out and started to take things down. They would throw out the picks that were still on the microphone, and I really wanted one of those but I didn't get one. Instead, some guy tore off the playlist of the concert and threw it into the crowd. Imaging my surprise when I actually snatched it from another girl. I finally got something!!!!!! So then I was on a mission. To see if I can find backstage passes. Unlike the other people that write reviews for concerts, I was not lucky enough to somehow find someway to get passes or get on their tour bus. (I still never saw the buses.) So instead I went and got autographs from the band Trinket who were still there. They are really cool.

That was my evening and I will never forget it!!!
