Bob Marley was the greatest reggae singer of all time. His songs influenced everybody who listened to them. He sang about injustice, war, and love. His musical talent is expressed in every song he wrote(especially in REDEMPTION SONG). He can set your soul to moving and singing. He can pick you up on those rainy days and transport you to the sun-soaked islands of the Carribean(listen to JAMMING and you'll see what I mean). He can also make you think and be able to realize the injustices of the world(listen to CRAZY BALDHEADS). I respect Bob Marley not only as a singer but as a man who let everyone know about the troubles in this world.
Bob Marley was born Robert Nesta Marley in the year 1945(February,Wednesday the 6th to be exact). His father was a white Jamacian known as Captain Norval Marley. His mother was Cedella Malcolm. In his early childhood Bob was known to be a fortune teller to a lesser extent. He first began his interest in music at the age of 4(correct me if I'm wrong). He soon became friends with Bunny Livingston. And when Pete Tosh came along some years later, they formed a band called the Wailing Wailers. The group found moderate success among Jamacian charts. But when they grew up, they really got noticed. One day, Bob met Rita(his soon to be wife) and she went to the studio to record with them. Well, anyway Bob and Rita became married and had 4 kids(I think this is correct). Bob and the band went around playing concerts and making a name for themselves. Bob had many achievements in his career, but his best one was the joining of hands of Prime Minister Michael Manley and Opposition leader Edward Seaga on stage while he was performing. Bob Marley died on May 11th 1981. He left behind him a legacy that will never be forgotten.
