Pike County Waterfalls

Shohola Falls

Shohola Falls is a series of waterfalls on Shohola Creek.  The property is owned by the Pennsylvania Game Commission.

Shohola Falls is one of Pike County's few great cascades that does not flow immediately into the Delaware.  The falls are found directly downstream of the dam the forms Shohola Lake.  The property is located along US - 6 approximately 10 miles west of Milford.  Visitors will find a large paved parking lot, seasonal restrooms and drinking fountains, and a nice trail leading to the falls.  Look for it at the extreme east end (Milford end) of the parking lot.

Shohola Falls is in the Pennsylvania Gamelands which is public hunting land.  Autumn and winter visitors should be prepared to hear occasional gun shots.

While the Game Commission has created trails to the falls, adventurous hikers will find many more on the opposite side of US - 6 as the Shohola continues its trek to the Delaware.

Note:  The photos shown here represent only a small section of the falls.
