Bedford High School

Well, I'm just now starting to develop this page, please bare with me.

I began my four year "visit" to Bedford High School in the fall of 1993. BHS was known as "The Big House on the Hill." I was rather intimidated, but entered with a lot of hopes at making some memories. Well, I made so many that I will just have to share a few of them with you in the upcoming months.

Let's start with my freshman year:

My first impressions of BHS was that it was huge, and I'd never find my way around, and I'd most certainly never make a name for myself or stand out at all in a school of 600 (I believe at the time). I was involved in chorus that year, and, besides Latin I, this is where I focused a lot of my attention. My best friends at the time were Ben Clark, Adam Leppert, Bj. Madore, Jason Beegle, and Jessica Phillips. Not many others really. On class I'll never forget was Environmental Science taught by Mrs. Vicky Williams. It was just plain great! The class went well , and I earned around 231 participation points (out of 50) I believe. At the time, that meant the world to my ego of course. We just had loads of fun, and I loved participating. At the time, I had this thing for Michelle Jozwiak, and she and I would always hold Bernice, the pet python. (Bernice was later accidentally fried on her hot plate, very sad.) Anyway, that was essentially my first year. Not too much happend, but I met a lot of interesting people.

My sophomore year was the beginning of a few exciting years. In the fall, I landed my first musical theatre roll as Prince Charming the First in Cinderella on the stage of the Bedford County Players. I was also performing solos in choral concerts, playing golf for the varsity team, and having my first kiddie crush, puppy-luv, "girlfriend" experience with Shauna Wittig, whom I met in theatre. I had caught the acting bug, and as the year progressed, I was in two other shows. Shauna and I lasted a whole two months. Ha! That spring, the BHS musical production was Camelot and I performed as Merlyn and a knight. My first dual role and plenty of singing. This might just be my favorite character played to date.

Onto my junior year. I had even more fun! The golf team was a blast, and I joined the yearbook (Echo) staff. My friend, Bj. had been on the staff the year before and raved about the fun and work. So, I signed up and loved every minute of it. I became an traveling photographer for the Echo with the girls' CC team. I still say I did just as much running trying to get pictures as they did on the courses! Last Updated= February 28, 2003 @ 5:22 pm
