I chose the name "Blue Lena" because I am a huge Keith Richards fan, and Blue Lena was the name of Keith's Bentley Touring Continental (the car that was taken on that famous trip to Morocco when Anita Pallenberg switched her allegiance from Brian to Keith). I play guitar (a Music Man Silhouette electric, Gibson Les Paul, Martin Sigma acoustic & Gibson Ronniew Wood J-200 signature acoustic) & I have always been a fan of rock & roll, but it wasn't until 1981 that I bought my first Stones album, Tattoo You. Since then I have amassed a rather large collection of Rolling Stones memorabilia which includes: Bootleg audio & videos,vinyl, books, magazines, pins, posters, promo photos, t-shirts, guitar picks, backstage passes, unused tickets, programs,autographs, postcards,etc. You name it, I either have it or want it! Especially if it has to do with Keith Richards! My husband says my upstairs room looks like a college dorm, I prefer to call it my "Keith Shrine".
I saw the Rolling Stones live for the first time in 1994 at Veteran's Stadium in Philadelphia, PA (thanks to Julie!) and again that same year in Pittsburgh, PA. For the Bridges To Babylon Tour I vowed to see more shows with better seats & so far the Keithian Gods are smiling upon me. My first great Stones moment came in Columbus in 1997 when Keith accepted a black & white skull scarf from me on the catwalk & gave me his fist to head & heart trademark thank you-it was beautiful.Then in Philly in 1997 I gave Keith another skull scarf of mine (same pattern, but multi-colored)& he wore it in Philly for the final bow! Since then I have given Keith 4 more scarves at various shows. Keith was still wearing my scarf from Philly 97 in Argentina 5 months later & both Blondie Chaplin & Lisa Fischer have told me that Keith still has my scarves, which is cool.
I have seen the Stones for Bridges To Babylon in Columbus, Ohio , Philadelphia, PA , Washington, DC , Las Vegas, Nevada , Madison Square Garden NYC , and Houston, TX. I saw them April 17 in Syracuse, NY and April 23 in Chicago for the last time on the Bridges to Babylon 97-98 Tour.
I saw the Stones on the No Security Tour '99 in DC, Philly, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Columbus and San Jose. I also saw the Stones in June '99 in Edinburgh, Sheffield & London. I was also lucky enough to see the Shepherd's Bush Club Gig in London.
