The Porsche 911 GT1 current version was introduced in 1996. It has developed quite a following already and has been raced successfully in Le Mans, Daytona, Laguna Seca, and other endurance races. Though mainly built for racing, Stasseversion (Street Version) car is in the works and prototypes have been revealed. Don't count on owning one, though, because they will cost $916,000, just a few short of the McLaren. For that money you'd get a beautiful car with great performance and a suitable inside.
