Nicole Brennan

Student of the Month for May 2001

For those to whom much is given, much is required. And when at some future date the high court of history sits in judgment on each of us, recording whether in our brief span of service we fulfilled our responsibilities, our success or failure, in whatever office we hold, will be measured by the answers to four questions: First, were we truly men of courage…Second, were we truly men of judgment…Third, were we truly men of integrity…Finally, were we truly men of dedication?

There is a firm belief among those who know her that, Nicole Brennan completely embodies all of the qualities mentioned in this statement made by the late President Kennedy. She is one of those people who has distinguished herself in many ways and in many different areas. Whether on the soccer field, the basketball court, the softball diamond, working as a volunteer at Winthrop Grade School, contributing in some substantial way to a school club, or producing quality work in a classroom, Nicole never offers less than her best efforts. Always willing to help and to give any assistance that she can, Nicole always takes on her responsibilities willingly and with a smile. Her positive attitude and deep sense of personal integrity are hallmarks of her character. Perhaps the most significant trait that she possesses is that she not only wants the best for herself but for others as well. She leads by positive example and is an invaluable asset to the community of Winthrop High School. Congratulations to Nicole!
