What was so kewl about this concert??
Well, This was my first concert. I was going since I got the tickets just days before my 17th birthday, way back in February. It was like a present from them to me. While months had passed I always had the *NSync concert in the back of my head. But it really wasn't getting to excite me all too much. Until I heard Carson Daly say if you are going to the July 11 *NSync concert and you would like MTV to follow you around that day long on to MTV.com under casting call and call the number for more information. I was so excited that I got those tickets. Because a requirement was that you already had tickets. I called long distance to MTV New York. I was so excited I was crying. Well they said they would be calling back if you were up for it. I got a call at 12 noon the next day, Friday. Things were looking up. I was going to go with my friends Terri and Barb. But we had to get a ride to Pittsburgh's DoubleTree Hotel for Thursday July 8 at 1:00. Ok well we got the ride Ter's mom was going to take us only on more handles, Barb was in summer school. Now her mom was going to let her out but her dad said no. We didn't have the 3 that we needed. Ter and I weren't communicating and I thought she wouldn't go with just the 2 of us but she was willing too. So I found all of this out right after MTV called me again and made sure I was going. I was so depressed for like 2 days. I couldn't eat or sleep. Wednesday night there was no chance that I would be sleeping. I got up and was so mad I was going to miss this once in a lifetime opportunity. I just was so mad, but my dad came through. One of his coworkers had twin nieces and they had tried for this but their third person was too young to go for the interview so like FATE we were brought together. Fate we use that word a lot when talking about this day. My dad took a vacation day off to drive us there. We talked the while hour and a half drive down and back like nonstop. Like we were meant to be good friends which now we are. Well we didn't know where this hotel was not at all. We had an address and that was like it. Ashley and my mom spotted the hotel. It was like something was guiding us there because we found it right away. FATE! We got out of the car and ran to the elevators and up to the conference room just in time, 12:59 to be exact. I know it doesn't sound true but it is. But that is how it worked out. We sat there all worried and watching *NSync videos, they helped calm me down. But we were still nervous when they called the other two girls names and not Amber and Ashley's. It was ok though. It all worked out we got to speak to producer and Renee, the woman who called me. I got to show off a little of the stuff I brought I took a whole backpack full and only showed like three things. It was kewl I was just happy to do the interview. We were there when the winners came in the 21-year-olds. They were not the biggest fans there trust me. We didn't get a call back for the next day but I did earn 2 brand new friends that i talk too all the time on the internet. And we found them passing out things at the concert and the found them again right before the *NSync portion of the concert began. They were sitting like 30 feet ahead of me straight down. It was when this picture above was taken all 5 of us meeting for the first time. Ashley, Sarah, Vanessa, Amber, and Terri: 5 together in happiness. Thanks for reading this whole long story.
The songs that they preformed at the concert I was at were: Here We Go, You Got It, For the Girl Who Has Everything, That Thing You Do-60's, ABC-70's, Celebrate-80's, Crazy 4 You-90's, Drive Myself Crazy, I Just Wanna Be With You, (God must have spent) a little more time on you, I Want You Back, U Drive Me Crazy (the Video), Sailing, Tearing Up My Heart, and Ain't No Stoppin Us Now. This meant they sang 15 songs in one show. WOW! The tour is called Ain't No Stopping Us Now World Tour if you can GO see it.
