All right I should start at the beginning where I got the tickets. Well we found out the week that the tickets went on sale that Saturday and my friends and I have to get a plan to get tickets we HAD to go. Well my best friends Terri said that we could try the Internet. But the Friday night before we both decided that might not be good we should just go to a National Record Mart and wait in line. So she had to work the next day so I was going with her mom. We drove a half an hour to the closest and waited in line 2 hours. Then they started the lottery. We ended up in about the same place so it didn’t really change us. When we finally got the tickets we had field seating on the field at Three Rivers Stadium in Pittsburgh PA.
So the days and months go by and finally its JULY 16, 2000. And at noon we are on our way to the concert. My parent’s are driving us down and we go to pick up my 2 other friends Terri and Summer. We drove down and got our hotel room, went swimming and ate dinner the whole time only thinking about what was going on that night. Around 4 we started off for the venue. We had decided to take the Gateway Clipper over to the stadium that way my parent’s could shop at Station Square and they wouldn’t have to park there. But getting to the drop off was the fun part. My dad took a wrong turn and we ended up drive out side of Pittsburgh. But while we were getting lost we saw SOMEONE’S tour bus (Not *NSync at all). It was probably someone from Oz Fest cause it was there at the same time. Well after a half and hour of driving around we found our way there but had to wait in like a half and hour of traffic. Not a highlight. We finally get to get on the boat and have to wait till it gets totally loaded up. But while waiting in line during the rain we meet and nice mom and daughter couple, Tracy and Nicole. We talked to them the whole boat ride it was just great meeting someone new and talking to them about *NSync. Well when we got to the stadium it was getting late and the lines were long. So we stopped and got all of our stuff, tee shirts and key chains and the laminates.
Ok so the lines were so long they wrap back around. My friends and I stood for a while in the really long line but then we noticed a brake farther up in the line and Summer went for it. She got way ahead of the line and passed a lot of people. But we still had about a twenty-minute wait ahead of us. When we got up to get our bags check I let them check mine and they let me go in the guy was then busy talking to someone else and Summer walked right in with out being check and Terri too. So we all still had our cameras and film. We got our wristbands and headed for our seats. Finally finding them they were soaking wet and so was everything else.
We waited for the opening acts to play. They were Ron Irizarry, Innocence and P!nk. Everyone was Great but Innocence. While waiting for the concert to start I took a picture of the stage and some event staff guy made me give him my film out of my $250 camera, I was pissed. But it didn’t matter I said screw him and took 3 rolls of film for my friends and I. The show rocked and the set list was as follows:
No Strings Attached, I Want You Back, God Must Have Spent A Little More Time On You, Tearin’ Up My Heart, Justin raps with the band, It’s Gonna Be Me, I Drive Myself Crazy, I Thought She Knew, then a clown video thing with a Lance shot out to Millionaire, Just Got Paid, Space Cowboy (w/out Lisa Lopez’s part), Makes Me Ill, This I Promise You, Digital Get Down (my fave), Bye Bye Bye. It was a great show that just flowed.
That night we decorated our room with the pictures and stuff we bought and them we decorated the window outside and were getting responses to it. It was so great when you look at the pics you will know just how great.
