The Bottomless Pit is a cave in the Bradford area that is a classic "pit hole" cave. It's definately what you would call a "vertical cave". That is, most of the passage is vertical with very little horrizontal passage. This cave is under explored. We use a pully rig to lower cavers down and to lift them back out. The cave goes down in steps with small "cat walks" along the way. This cave has a very high bat count and has been documented by the state of Pa.
