Mulan:Decisions
Part I
By Paul
The weddings of Shang, Granny, Mulan, Ling, Jam-Yai, and Alex-Yee-Beans were fast approaching. None of them were actually in love, however. They all knew in their hearts that they were not marrying the right people.
The night before the marriages, Jam-Yai approached Alex-Yee-Beans. "Alex," she said, "this isn't right. I can't marry you. My heart belongs to Shang."
"You feel the same way I do?" said Alex.
"About the marriage? Or about Shang?"
"Uggh! About the marriage of course! Although Shang is a cutie... Just Kidding! I really don't think this is right... I guess we just decided to get married to fill the voids in our lives.... I still love Mulan..."
"Let's just be friends..."
"What?! You're breaking up with me?! I thought you loved me!"
"B..but... I thought you said we shouldn't get married!"
"Oh yeah, sorry. Hehe. I forgot. Anyway... I have a plan on how we can get who we really want... Listen...."

Meanwhile, Ling and Mulan met in the garden...
"Ling, I can't go through with this, I have feelings for another man," said Mulan.
"What?! Who is it? Is it Yao!? That double-crosser! I knew he had feelings for you! I told him to stay away from you! I'll get him!" exclaimed Ling, as he flexed his puny muscles.
"What!? Yao loves me?! Ohh great! Now I have 2 problems to deal with."
"What's the other problem?"
"YOU! I'm trying to tell you that I don't love you. I never have. I guess I just needed someone to comfort me..."
"What?! You d..d..don't love me?! Waaahhhh." Ling then begins to cry like a baby.
"I'm sorry, Ling....."
Ling stops his crying instantly and talks in a serious tone, almost as he had just pretended to cry. "Hey, don't sweat it, babe."
"I'm surprised you're taking it so well..."
"Well, I'll tell you the truth... I never loved you either. Actually, I met someone..... and I've fallen in love with her.... She's the most beautiful woman in the world... I'm sorry I pretended to love you... I just thought you needed to be loved..."
"Ohh, Ling, you're so sweet..." Mulan gives Ling a kiss on the cheek. "Thank you for caring..."
"No problem, Mulan. Now, if you don't mind, I'm off to meet the love of my life...."
"Umm, Ling, before you go, was what you said about Yao true?"
Ling hesitates... "Ummmm... n..n..n..no. Yeah, I was just kidding, yeah..." (whispers) "Sigh, covered that up pretty nicely..."
"What did you say, Ling?"
"Ummm... nothing. Bye, Mulan, I've gotta catch a date."
"Wait a minute... you mean you scheduled a date the night before our wedding? How could you!"
"Well, ummm... I was gonna tell you..."
"Well, I guess it really doesn't matter any more... So, who's the lucky lady?"
"Her name is MM. She says she knows you..... something about an accident. She babbled on and on about how you ruined her day. She said you spilled tea on her.... I told her it couldn't have been you. You're not that clumsy, no one on earth can be that clumsy... Anyway, Bye!"

Meanwhile, Shang and Granny also met with each other...
"Oh, Shang, I can't wait until tomorrow...," said Granny Fa.
"Neither can I...," said Shang, with doubt...
Mulan and Jam-Yai then both approached Shang And Granny.
"I'm sorry, me and Ling aren't going to get married after all...," said Mulan, all the while looking into Shang's eyes. "I guess it''l just be you two and Jam-Yai and Alex.
"I guess it'll just be you two," said Jam-Yai,"me and Alex decided not to get married after all."
"I'm sorry you two," said Granny Fa, "are you still going to the wedding?"
"Thanks for the offer, and thanks for caring, but I can't go. I've gotta, uhhh, wash my hair! Yeah! I've gotta wash my hair tomorrow!" said Mulan, lying straight through her teeth. She knew she couldn't stand seeing Shang with another woman.
"Actually, I was just asking because I needed to know how many people would be at the reception. Those caterers aren't cheap you know. 10 bucks for every extra plate! What a rip off!" Granny Fa sees Mulan is frowning. "Well, yes, I do care, are you sure you can't make it?"
"Yes, Granny. I hope you two are happy for the rest of you life."
"I won't miss it for the world," said Jam-Yai. "Alex and I will both be there. It'll truly be a day you'll never forget, Granny Fa.... Yes... you'll never forget it...

At midnight, Jam and Alex visited someone they knew that could help them: a sorceress even more powerful than Jam-Yai.
"Alright, Jam-Yai," said Alex, "where are we going?"
"To a sorceress's cave," replied Jam-Yai. "You see, she gave me my powers. I wasn't always known as Jam-Yai. My real name is Mei-Sing, which means Beautiful Flower. Yes, I was as pretty as your precious Mulan. You see, I am actually 17 years old!"
"WHAT?! YOU?!"
"OK, OK, I'm really 18, but don't tell anyone that or I'll cut your head off! A lady never wants anyone to know her real age..... Anyway, I first saw Shang when I was passing Wu-zhong camp. I saw him take off his shirt and I went crazy! Oh yeah, his personality is pretty good too, but that body! I knew at once I had to have him, so I visited this sorceress named Jane-Yee. I had heard that she grants people wishes. Well, I went to her and asked her for the power to have people under my control. And she gave it to me.... for a price. You see, Jane-Yee was 200 years old, and believe me, she had more than a few wrinkles! So she said that for my youth and beauty I could have what I wanted. So I gave it to her."
"You gave your youth to get Shang?"
"Well, at least I didn't give my voice. She told me about this mermaid who gave her voice to her to become human or something..." Jam-Yai then stopped talking. They were at Jane-Yee's Cave.
Alex read the sign near the entrance, "Jane-Yee's Monster Cave?!"
"Don't worry, it's just a name."
"You mean there aren't really monsters inside?"
"No, there are monsters, I just meant it was really a temple disguised as a cave."
"Oh, that's encouraging..."
