Nick sat at the kitchen table across from his mom. They had just had breakfast and everyone left the table except them. "Is AJ still sleeping? He didn't come down." Jane asked. Nick shrugged his shoulders. "I dunno." He said after taking a sip of his coffee. "He left pretty quick last night. I think something happened to Gina cause she was crying." Janes eyes widened. "Is she okay?" She asked. "I don't know. I haven't talked to AJ yet."
"Talk to me about what?" AJ asked as he walked in the kitchen. He sat down next to Nick and poured himself some coffee. Nick stared at him. He looked like hell. "You okay AJ? Everything alright?" Nick asked. Jane was silent as she looked at AJ. AJ looked up at Nick. "No. I didn't get any sleep. I was up thinking all night." "About what?" Jane asked placing her hand on his. AJ's eyes quickly filled with tears as he looked at Jane. "Gina told me last night that Isabelle is my daughter." Jane's mouth opened. "What?" AJ looked down as Nick asked, "Are you sure? I mean how does she know. You've been broken up for 2 years, she could be some other guy's." AJ shook his head. "She's mine." "She could be lying to get you back." Nick said.
Jane reached over and slapped his shoulder. "Oww, what was that for?" Nick asked as he rubbed the spot she hit. "Don't say that." "She wouldn't do that. Besides, I'm the one that wants her back. She never said anything about us getting back together." AJ added. "So, what did you tell her?" Jane asked. AJ was silent for a moment. "I didn't tell her anything. I panicked and left." "You left? How could you just leave?" Nick asked shocked. "I don't know. I just did." AJ said rubbing his face. He then stood and pushed in his chair. "But I gotta talk to her. I'm getting a shower and then heading over." Jane smiled and stood. "Good luck." She said as she gave him a hug.
"I'm coming!" Danielle yelled as she went to answer the door. She opened the door and stared at AJ who stood on the other side. "Hi Danielle." He said in a mellow voice. Danielle contnued to stare at him. "Can I come in?" He asked. Danielle nodded and moved aside to let him in. They stood silently in the living room for a moment. "So, uhh.. where's Isabelle?" He asked. "In the kitchen eating breakfast." Danielle said pointing behind her towards the kitchen. AJ nodded not know what to say. "Look, Danielle I'm s..." Danielle held up her hands to stop him. "Im not the person you should be talking to. The person you should be talking to is up stairs." She said. AJ nodded and head up the steps. "First door on the right." Danielle yelled up after him.
AJ stopped infront of her bedroom door. It was halfway open. He peaked his head in. She was lying on the bed on her side. She still had her pajama's on but the bed was made. He figured she didn't even bother unmaking it last night. Her back was facing him so AJ didn't know if she was sleeping or not. He pushed the door open alittle more and stood silently.
Gina continued staring blankly at the wall. Its what she did all night because she couldn't get to sleep. She heard the door squeak open. She didn't know how, but without even looking she knew it was AJ. She always felt his presence when he was around. It was a sixth sense she grew over the two years they dated.
AJ was about to say something when Gina said, "You ready to talk now or are you going to leave again?" AJ suddnely felt embarressed. He walked over and layed down on the bed on his back. He stared up at the ceiling. "I'm sorry I left. That was really stupid of me. I just did not expect that at all. Why did you never tell me?" AJ asked. Gina sighed. "I don't know. I told you last night I didn't know." AJ rolled his eyes. "Well thanks to you I missed two years of my daughters life because you didn't want to tell me for some unknown reason." AJ said coldly. Gina felt the hot tears start to come down her face. "I'm sorry." Gina said hardly above a whisper. "It was so hard."
"Why? Tell me everything. Every little thing that went through your head." AJ said. Gina sat up and looked down at AJ. "You got time?" See asked. AJ nodded. "Of course." Gina sighed and started. "AJ, you were the first person I truely loved. The first person I ever thought about spending the rest of my life with. You were also the first person I had sex with. I knew about the consequences but I never thought that any of them would happen to me. Anyway, I knew you'd be away a lot and didn't want to get hurt so I told you I wanted to break up. You convinced me to sleep on it. Remember that day?" She asked. AJ nodded. "Yeah, like it was yesterday."
Gina smiled a little and continued. "Well after I talked to you I had a doctors appointment. I scheduled it earlier in the week because I had missed my period. I thought nothing of it but Danielle insisted I make an appointment. So, I went and found out I was pregnant." She stopped for a moment to collect her thoughts and then continued. "I went to the airport the next day with every intention of telling you. But then I saw you and you said you decided it would be better for us to break up. I couldn't tell you after that." AJ sat up next to her. "So, you decided to not tell me and never thought to come find me." Gina lowered her eyes. "There were so many times I wanted to. I was afraid you turned into this big jerk who let fame get to him and if I came to find you, you would laugh in my face." Gina returned her gaze back to AJ's eyes. "I know thats a stupid excuse. But its the truth."
AJ sighed and moved closer to her. "So, what now?" "What do you mean?" Gina asked. "I mean, what do we do now? Do you want me in your life?" Gina nodded. "Yes, I do. But I think you should ask yourself the same thing." AJ nodded. "I do. I want you and Isabelle in my life." "You say that now but two weeks down the line you might change your mind. I just think you should give this some thought." AJ shook his head. "I thought all last night. I want you in my life. I'm sure of it." "Give it a week. Okay? We don't see eachother for a week and we really think about this." Gina said. AJ sighed and nodded. "Okay."
They were both silent for a few moments. The only thing they could here was the sound of eathothers breathing. For a short second they meet eachothers stare and AJ pulled Gina in for a passionate kiss. Gina willingly kissed him back. AJ reached around the back of Gina's shirt and placed his hand under it. He brushed his fingers lightly across her skin. A small moan exscaped from Gina's lips.
AJ then went to unhook her bra but Gina suddnely pulled away. "This...this is not good. We can't do this." AJ nodded in agreement. "You're right. You're totally right." They both again started to kiss. This time AJ pulled away. "Okay..okay." He got off the bed and pointed to the door. "I'm gonna go." Gina smiled. "Okay." AJ turned to leave and Gina quickly said, "AJ, I love you." AJ stopped and walked back over to her. He gave her a quick kiss before saying, "I love you too."
