~Chapter 7~

The swinging doors that led to the kitchen flew open and Gina appeared with the steak Mario had just recently given her. He looked at her from his place in the kitchen and noticed her annoyed look. "What?" "The bitch at table 6 who made it clear she wanted no red meat what so ever, just sent this back because she says its to burnt." Mario smiled. "It's okay, G. Ya gotta calm down."

Gina sighed as she handed him the plate. "I know. Sometimes I can't stand the snobs that come in this place." Mario nodded. "Thats what we get for working in such a fancy restaurant, my sweet." Gina smiled and Mario continued to stare at her. "So, when do you see Sir Romeo with the tattoo's again?" He asked. Gina pushed the few hairs that feel in her face behind her ear. "I told him I'm busy during the week. We're gonna do something on Friday." Mario nodded. "Oh, then he's a day early."

"What?" Gina asked. Mario pointed to the swinging door. Brittney came through and Gina could see to the front of the restuarant. AJ was standing up there talking to Sarah. The doors then swung closed. "Why is he here?" She asked, more to herself. The doors then opened and he came through. "Hey." AJ said with a smile. "Why are you here?" She asked. "I needed to ask you something and I needed an answer right away." Gina nodded as she leaned against the counter. "Whats up?" AJ moved closer to her and leaned on the counter opposite from her. "The Carters have this yearly charity event and they want me to go. I was going to go by myself but Nick insists that I find a date. So, I figured I'd ask you. It's tomorrow night. We don't even have to stay that long, as long as Nick knows I made an appearnce."

Gina smiled. "I'd love to go." AJ crossed his arms and smiled. "Okay. Thanks. A lot of people will be there. I just wanted to warn you, but don't worry, I won't leave your side." Gina nodded. "Okay." "So, I'll pick you up around 8, okay?" AJ said. "Sounds good." Gina stated. AJ then leaned over and kissed her on the cheek. "Thank you." He turned and walked out of the kitchen.

"Just friends, huh?" Mario said, smiling. Gina rolled her eyes. "Hun, your leading him on." Mario informed her. Gina sighed. "I know, but what if I want to." Mario looked at her confused. Gina continued. "Mario, I'm still in love with him. I want us to be together again." "Well then you have to tell him about Isabelle." Mario said. "I am. Tomorrow." Mario smiled. "I'm here for you. You know that." Gina nodded. "And," he continued, "if you decide you don't want him, give him my number." Gina laughed. "Sorry babe, he doesn't play for your team." "A guy can dream." Mario said rasing eyebrows up and down. Gina continued to laugh as she made her way to the front of the resuarant.

Gina stood infront of the mirror in the living room perfecting her hair. Isabelle sat on the couch watching "The Bear in the Big Blue House". Danielle was in the kitchen washing the dishes. Her and Gina carried on a conversation although they were in two seperate rooms. "We really need to get this dishwasher fixed." Danielle said. Gina sprayed back a few stray pieces. "I know. Remind me to call the guy in the morning."

Just then the door bell rang. Gina checked herself one last time in the mirror then when to answer the door. She opened it and wanted to scream. "AJ? Why are you wearing a tux? You didn't tell me it was formal." Gina said. She looked down at her outfit. She had a black skirt on and a lavender top. AJ smiled. "Cause I knew that if I did you wouldn't want to go. You look beautiful anyhow. You can go in that." Gina rolled her eyes. "Yeah, watch me. What am I gonna do? I don't even own a dress." She said as she moved aside, letting him in.

"Yes you do, you liar." Danielle said as she came from the kitchen. Gina turned to look at her. "What?" "You have that awesome red dress that you wore to my sisters wedding." "I can't wear that." Gina said. "Yes you can. You know you look great in it. Go put it on. Hurry up." Gina sighed and ran upstairs.

"Wow AJ. You clean up nice." Danielle said smiling. "Thanks." He said. "AJ!" A tiny voice said from the couch. AJ looked over and saw Isabelle sitting on the couch. "Hey Is! How's your rock?" Isabelle smiled widely. "Good." "Its in her room." Danielle added. AJ nodded. "It's nice seeing you again, by the way." "Nice seeing you too. I missed your crazy antics." Danielle said. AJ laughed.

Gina came down the steps a few moments later and AJ felt his heart start beating faster. She looked absolutly amazing. The red dress went down to her ankels and had slits up both sides. It clung to her every curve and flowed nicely as she moved. She also had a black shawl hanging off her shoulders. All AJ could say was, "Wow." Gina blushed and smiled. "Are you ready?" She asked. AJ nodded and she looped her arm through his. Danielle smiled as he opened the door. "Have fun." "Okay, you don't have to wait up." Gina said. Danielle nodded. "Bye Isabelle." "Bye mommy." Gina and AJ turned and walked out the door as both wondered what the other was thinking.
