~Chapter 9~

Nick and Serena moved their dancing over to where AJ stood. Nick tapped AJ on the shoulder as he left his other hand around Serena's waste. "Everything okay?" He asked concerned. AJ conitnued to stare at the door and shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know." He then quickly left the dance floor and went to the table, picking up Gina's purse and shawl. He then walked out of the room and into the lobby. He scanned the faces that stood around. Where did she go?

AJ moved his glance towards the door. He saw her standing outside with her arms crossed. He made his way outside to join her. Gina saw him stand next to her in the corner of her eye. AJ stared at her. The tears were gone but her eyes were still red. What happened? Everything was going so fine and now he had no idea why she was upset. "Gina, are you okay?" AJ asked. She nodded and stared at the ground. "I'm sorry. It was just really stuffy in there." AJ didn't buy it. Gina looked at him and noticed he had her purse and shawl. "Oh, thank you." she said, taking them from him. AJ nodded. "Do you wanna get out of here?" He asked. Gina smiled slightly. "Only if you want to. I don't want to ruin your night, if I didn't already." AJ shook his head. "You didn't ruin anything. This is the best night I've had in months." He took hold of her hand. "It's late and you look tired. Lets get you home." Gina nodded and walked with him to the limo.

Gina sat in silence the whole ride home. AJ decided to let what happen go. He figured she was just tired. She looked it anyway. When they arrived at Gina's house AJ told the driver to wait a few minutes so he could walk her up to the door. Gina leaned against the railing on the porch as AJ leaned against the wall. Gina was looking down at the ground for a few moments and then look up into AJ's eyes. AJ saw tears start to build up in her eyes. He was about to run over and hug her and tell her everything will be okay, but he had no idea what was going on.

"AJ, I'm so sorry. I'm sorry about everything." AJ gave her a confused look. "Sorry about what? You didn't do anything wrong." Gina quickly moved her gaze away. AJ moved closer to her and brought his hand to her chin. "What is going on Gina?" A few tears fell from her eyes. She was really starting to scare him. "I can't tell you because I don't want you to hate me." "I could never hate you." AJ said, shacking his head. "But you will. I'm a horriable person and you'll hate me for what I did." AJ took his hand away from her face and held both of her hands. "What did you do?"

Gina was silent for a few minutes. AJ continued to stare at her, waiting for an answer. Gina took a deep breath and her eyes met his. "Isabelle is your daughter." AJ's expression didn't change. He just stared at her. When he didn't respond Gina quickly lowered her head. Gina didn't know what to do. She wanted him to say something, yet she was afraid of what it might be that he says. The silence was killing her. "Are you going to say anything?" She asked still looking down. "What am I supposed to say?" AJ said quickly as he let go of her hands. So many things were running through his head. "Is this some sort of joke?" He asked. Gina looked at him. "Why would I joke about this? I'm telling you the truth." AJ glared at her and finally said. "Yeah, something you should of told me two years ago."

"I couldn't. It was hard." Gina stated. AJ didn't know what to do. He felt like he was thrown into a room and suddenly the walls started to cave in around him. "I can't deal with this right now." He said as he started to walk off the porch. "Where are you going? What do you mean you can't deal with this?" Gina asked. AJ continued to walk away. Gina couldn't do anything but watch him go. He got inside the limo and the it pulled away. Gina's heart crumbled.

Danielle heard some movement in the hallway. She layed in bed for a moment trying to listen. The movement seemed like it stopped infront of Isabelle's bedroom door. She sat up, suddenly feeling frightened. She opened the door and saw Gina staring in on Isabelle. "G, you scared the crap out of me. I thought someone had broken in." When Gina didn't answer she walked over to her. "You okay? How did it go?" She asked. Gina looked over at Danielle. Her mascara was all down her face and a few tears fell from her eyes. "What's wrong?" Danielle asked feeling more frightened then she had when she thought someone had broken in.

Gina mumbled something, but Danielle couldn't make it out. "Hun, what did you say?" "AJ...he left after I..I told him about Isabelle...he left." Danielle brought her hand to her mouth. "I don't..um...I don't feel good." "Do you want to throw up?" Danielle asked, grabbing hold of her hand. Gina shook her head. "No." Gina was silent for a moment. She suddnely feel down to the grown and started crying hysterically. Danielle sat down next to her and wrapped her arms around her.

After a few minutes Gina stopped and pulled away from Danielle. "I'm sorry." Danielle shook her head. "Don't you dare be sorry. It's okay." Gina nodded. "I think I'm just gonna go to bed." "Everything will be okay. I promise." Danielle said as she stood with her. She gave her one last hug and then let her go to her room.
