~Chapter 15~

It had been days since their fight and not much was said between AJ and Gina. He hardly saw her. During the day she'd be somewhere with some of the dancers or the band and at night after the shows she'd go back to the hotel while he went out. By the time he got back, she was already sound asleep. He thought everything was resolved that night when she got in the taxie, but now he knew it wasn't. Everyday she seemed to be slipping further away from him and that was scaring him to death. What was the matter? He needed to find out.

They were done their two shows in San Jose and now where off to Los Angeles. AJ smiled as he got on his bus after the show. He knew that Gina would be on it and finally he could be alone with her. He walked towards the back and opened the door. He saw her laying on the bed and she looked to be asleep. AJ sighed heavily. He needed to talk to her. He stripped down to his boxers and slipped into the bed next to her. I guess I have to wait until tomorrow. He thought.

AJ awoke in the middle of the night. He yawned and rolled over, suprised that the space next to him was empty. He was thirsty and decided to get a glass of milk. He walked into the kitchen area and saw Gina sitting at the table looking out into the darkness of the night. Her feet were tucked snuggly under her legs as she leaned against the window.

The only thing she wore was one of his T-shirts, which she was huge on her. AJ could see part of her underwear peeking out from under the shirt. "Can't sleep either?" AJ asked as he pulled a carton of milk out of the tiny refridgerator. He looked back over at her as he poured the milk into a glass. It looked as if she was a million miles away. "Gina?" AJ called her name. She quickly looked over at him. "Hmmm, sorry what?" AJ smirked and sat down across from her. "You okay? What are ya thinking about?" She shook her head and turned her gaze back out the window. "Nothing, I'm fine." "You sure?" He asked. "Yeah, I just want to be alone." She mumbled.

AJ staired at her. He studied her face as she gazed out the window. She turned to look at him and rose her eye brows. "I said I want to be alone." Anger was apparent in her voice. AJ was taken aback. "Are you thinking about breaking up with me?" AJ asked, looking her dead in the eyes. "What?" She said, raising her voice a little. AJ sighed. "I don't know. You've been so distant lately, ever since the club. Are you still jealous or mad or something?"

Gina rolled her eyes. "I don't care about that. I'm over it. Not every thing has to do with you, AJ." She crossed her arms tighter around her chest. "Then what does it have to do with? Why can't I know?" She was silent. She didn't say anything as she looked back out the window. "Are you homesick?" AJ asked. She sighed. "I don't have a home to be sick for." She said lightly. AJ bit his lip. She looked so sad. He just wanted to hold her in his arms.

"I called Danielle yesterday and made plans for her to come on the road with us for the last week of the tour." He told her. "I wanted her to suprise you but I figured now you have something to look forward to." Gina smiled slightly. "Thank you. I'm sorry I gave you an attitude. I'm just so tired right now." AJ got up and sat next to her. "I know something's bothering you and I wish I knew what it was so I could help. Whenever you wanna talk you know I'm here, baby." Gina lowered her eyes. She despretly wanted to spill her heart out to him, but she couldn't do it. She wasn't strong enough. AJ stood and took her hand in his. "Let's head back to bed."
