~Chapter 5~

The sunlight shone through the window hitting AJ right in the eyes. He quickly rubbed his face as he yawned. His eyes opened slightly and he moved his gaze around the room as he recalled the events that took place the night before. The space next to him was empty and the light blue sheets that were on the bed only covered from his lower stomach down to his feet. The bedroom lingured with her fabulous scent. The scent that he first smelled when she brushed past his table at the club. The scent he smelled in the elevator and in the restuarant. The scent he smelled when he layed her on the bed and kissed her neck.

His thoughts were interupted when he heard the shower turn off. He realized thats where she was and that made him happy knowing he would be seeing her in a few short minutes. He slid out of bed and slipped on his boxers. He then layed back down in the spot on the bed where he spent most of the night.

The bedroom door swung open and Gina entered wearing blue flower shorts and a white tank top. Her hair was damp and she quickly pulled it up in a ponytail. She smiled at AJ when she saw he was awake. "I'm glad to see you're awake Alex, but I'm so sorry. My friend Danielle flys in today and her plane lands in ten minutes. I really need to go pick her up." AJ frowned. "Really?" Gina nodded and sat down on the edge of the bed next to him.

"Look, I like you a lot and I really want to see you again." She grabbed a piece of paper off her nightstand and quickly scribbled her number down. She then handed it to him and smiled. "Call me soon. I still have to show you around, remember?" AJ nodded. "Of course. Maybe in a few days we can go to a club with your friend." Gina smiled. "I'd like that." They were silent for a moment. "Is this crazy?" Gina asked.

"Is what crazy?" AJ asked as he looked down at the paper with her number on it. "This. Us. I mean, is it crazy to have this connection with someone that you didn't even know for a day." AJ shook his head. "No. I don't think its crazy at all. God works in weird ways and I believe He has people come into our lives for important reasons. We just have to figure out what those reasons are." Gina smirked. "Yeah, I like how you think McLean." She said as she patted his bare stomach.

"But I gotta go. Take your time leaving and don't forget to lock the door after you." Gina said. AJ nodded and watched her as she walked out of the bedroom. What was it about her that made him feel so like his old self again? The last few months had been so hectic and stressful. He went into full depression mode and thats why he needed to get away. Being with her made him feel like he was 16 again. He smiled thinking about how the next two weeks were going to be better then he thought.

"So, what should we do first?" Danielle asked as she flipped through the radio channels in Gina's car. Gina shrugged her shoulders. "I don't care. We could go to th beach. Thats basically what we did the last time you were here." Danielle smiled. "Yeah, but we should do more stuff than that." Gina nodded. "Okay."

Gina became silent as her mind drifted off to AJ. For some reason she hoped he would still be at her apartment when she got back although she knew he wouldn't be. Ever since she was in the elevator with him it was like she didn't want to be away from him for a minute and that scared her a little. Their conversations were great. It was like she knew him all her life. She felt so comfortable just talking to him.

Gina pulled up infront of her apartment building and help Danielle carry in her bags. She unlocked her door and pushed it open. The apartment was quiet and empty. Gina sat down on the couch as Danielle came in. "We sharing your bed again?" She asked. Gina nodded. "Yup. We are so weird. We used to do that when we were in highschool and here we are still doing that." Danielle laughed. "I know." She said as she brought her bags into the bedroom.

Danielle came back in the living room with a piece of paper in her hand and a huge smile on her face. "Well well well. Someone had a man over last night." Gina's eyes got wide. "What?" "Don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about. Whoever he was left you a note on your bed. Lets see what it says...' Dear Gina...I just wanted to say that I had a lot of fun with you at dinner last night. Everything else was amazing as well.'" Danielle looked up at Gina and smirked. "Hmmm...everything else? Lets see what else Mister lover boy says." Gina stood and tried to grab the paper from her but Danielle dodged around her and laughed. "'I'll call you tomorrow. I can't wait to see you again...AJ.'"

Danielle stood infront of Gina smiling. "Have some fun last night?" Danielle asked. Gina rolled her eyes. "I mind as well tell you everything. First off his name is AJ McLean." Danielles eyes grew wide. "The Backstreet Boy?" Gina nodded. "Yeah, he's staying at the hotel. I meet him yesterday. He is the sweetest guy and so funny." "Yesterday? Are you nuts? Gina, that isn't like you. Just to meet some guy and sleep with him."

Gina shook her head. "He isn't just some guy. It was more than that. I only did it because it felt right." Danielle sighed. "I just don't want to see you get hurt." "I won't." Gina told her. Danielle smiled. "Okay. Everything is okay with you right?" Gina nodded. "I'm fine. Stop worrying." "Okay, okay. You can tell me more about AJ when we get to the beach." Gina smiled. "Okay."
